PURPOSE: An apparatus for training an animal with a receiver antenna and a control method thereof are provided to help a user to easily train the animal as well as to easily understand the position of the animal, and to simplify the structure thereof, thus reducing the cost of manufacturing. CONSTITUTION: The animal training apparatus consists of a transmitter having a shock wave adjustor, a first functional switch for controlling the output time of the shock wave, a second functional switch for controlling the output of vibration, a third functional switch for controlling the output of beep sound, a fourth functional switch for controlling the temporary output of the shock wave, a microprocessor, an oscillator, a modulator, a high frequency amplifier, a low pass filter, and a transmitter antenna; and a receiver having a receiver antenna(51), a coupling condenser(C2) for outputting signal of alternating current component only, an RF module(80) for amplifying and filtering the alternating current signal, a micom-module(90) for selectively actuating one of the functional switches, a shock wave driving device(60) for amplifying the level of shock wave, a high voltage generator(65), a pair of electrodes(68,69) for applying the high voltage shock wave to the animal, a vibration motor driving device(72), and a bell driving device(66).
