PURPOSE: A vacuum prevention apparatus for scroll compressor is provided to achieve an improved compression efficiency by effectively preventing leakage of high pressure refrigerant, while preventing damage of compressor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a driving unit for performing a piston movement in accordance with a pressure difference; and a plate type valve mounting unit installed in a connection path for connecting a high pressure part, a medium pressure part and a low pressure part in accordance with the movement of the driving unit, so as to prevent refrigerant leakage. The driving unit includes a piston(16) having a tapered outer periphery; a cylinder(20) for insertion of the piston; a spring(11) installed in the rear of the piston; a stopper(12) inserted into the spring so as to limit movement of the piston; and a fixing pin(13) inserted to be perpendicular to the stopper. The valve mounting unit includes a valve open/shut rod(14) inserted into a rod guide hole so as to move in a vertical direction along the tapered outer periphery of the piston; a lead valve(15) for opening/shutting the connection path in accordance with the movement of the valve open/shut rod; and a bypass path formed beneath the lead valve so as to allow the high pressure valve to be introduced into the low pressure part.
