PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for ink-jet which has a high performance for dissolving a dyestuff and an improved reliability for ink jetting after a long interval of standstill. SOLUTION: The ink composition is a water ink comprising a water-soluble coloring agent, ethylene glycol and water, wherein the water ink contains di-2- ehtylhexyl sulfosuccinate sodium salt (compound 1) represented by formula (1). In an example, a dyestuff, compound 1 as a dissolving agent, ethylene glycol as a wetting/dissolving agent and ion-exchanged water as a solvent were mixed to make an ink composition. |
