PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device and an exhaust emission control method using this capable of highly efficiently purifying CO, HCs, PM, and NOx even under diesel engine exhaust conditions having high frequency of low exhaust temperature conditions <=200 deg.C. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device comprises a filter means 20 and a nitrogen oxides adsorbing reduction catalyst 7 arranged in order in an exhaust gas passage 4 and hydrogen feeding means 8 and 9 provided in an inlet of the nitrogen oxides adsorbing reduction catalyst. The filter means 20 is provided with a filter scavenging particulates and an oxidation catalyst adsorbing and oxidizing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and soluble organic compounds and accelerating combustion of the particulates. |
