PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera, provided with a lens barrier which surely copes with requirements, such as high mechanical strength and ready securing of housing space of a collapsing type photographing lens. SOLUTION: This camera is provided with the lens barrier 40, in which a shielding part 42 arranged, so as to cover a prescribed area E including the front area of a photographing lens 11 made as the shielding part of an entire area multiple structure, consisting of an inside barrier member 43 for covering the entire area of the specified area E and an outside barrier member 44 which is joined to cover the entire surface of the inside barrier member 43, or as the shielding part of a partial multiple structure, consisting of the inside barrier member 43 to cover a remaining area excluding a front area part E1 of the photographing lens 11 from the prescribed area E and the outside barrier member 44, which is partially laid over and joined on the surface of the inside barrier member 43, so as to cover the entire prescribed area E.
