PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting-type magnetic sensor capable of achieving the compactness of an overall device to which the magnetic sensor is mounted and being easily mounted with other surface-mounting-type components to a member to be mounted. SOLUTION: The surface-mounting-type magnetic sensor is provided with a magnetic sensor substrate 20, a terminal plate 40 connected to the electrode pattern 25 of the magnetic sensor substrate 20, and a case 60 made of a resin molded in the periphery of the magnetic sensor substrate 20 with the terminal plate 40 connected to the electrode pattern 25. By protruding the terminal plate 40 from the side surfaces 61 and 61 of the case 60 and bending the tips of the terminal plate 40 in such a way as to be located in the approximately same plane as the lower surface of the case 60, the magnetic sensor is made to be a surface-mounting type.
