PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce effects due to the motor for switching between gratings of a diffraction grating unit in a spectrophotometer. SOLUTION: After a desired diffraction grating among the plurality of diffraction gratings 1-3 fixed on a disk 4 of the diffraction grating unit rotated by the motor 9 is arranged in an optical path and when a base 5 to which the disk 4 is rotatably mounted is rotated by a drive source 21 and wavelength scanning is performed by the diffraction grating arranged in the optical path, the motor 9 is arranged off the base 5, and the turning force of the motor 9 is transmitted to the disk 4 by a flexible shaft 12.
