PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic excellent in solubilizing power of a slightly water-soluble ingredient, capable of suppressing the formation of sediments and clouding with time and excellent in preservation stability in a transparent or a translucent cosmetic comprising a polyglycerol ester of a fatty acid and/or a sucrose ester of a fatty acid formulated therein. SOLUTION: This transparent or translucent cosmetic excellent in the solubilizing power of the slightly water-soluble ingredient and capable of well suppressing the formation of sediments and clouding with time and excellent in stability is obtained by formulating an N-long-chain acyl amino acid and/or its salt in a cosmetic comprising a nonionic surfactant selected from the polyglycerol ester of the fatty acid and/or the sucrose ester of the fatty acid.
