PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front suction sending type article transporting mechanism capable of enhancing the speed of article transportation and capable of surely transporting articles. SOLUTION: This front suction sending type article transporting mechanism is provided on a front end part of a loading rack. An article is loaded on the rack with its front located in position. In the mechanism, a driving wheel device is driven by a main transmission shaft of a transmission unit. A driven rod device for generating direction-moving reciprocating strokes in a prescribed order, and an article suction unit and an article sending unit, connected to the driven rod device, are individually driven. The article on the rack is sucked by the suction unit connected to an air source and sent to the sending unit. The sending unit having received the article sends it to article transporting wheels. At the same time, the suction unit returns to its original position to suck the next article. Thus, the speed of article transportation is enhanced and the articles can be surely transported.
