PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device constituted so as to properly maintain stopping of a vehicle by using basically predetermined specified braking force, and using braking force by adding correction braking force to the specified braking force when necessary. SOLUTION: A wheel speed sensor 24 is arranged to judge whether or not the vehicle maintains the stopping on the basis of a detecting signal of this sensor 24. This braking device outputs a correction braking force adding command to a hydraulic unit 14 via a controller 22 when outputting the detecting signal from the sensor 24 in spite of issuing a stopping maintaining command. As a result, the braking force applied to wheels 16 increases, and a stopping state of the vehicle can be properly maintained.
