PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crystallization with high productivity by which high-purityβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid is obtained, specifically a method for the crystallization with the high productivity by which the crystal form is remarkably large and the high-purityβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid crystal can be obtained and further a method for producing the industrially usefulβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid and to obtain the high-purityβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid. SOLUTION: This method for crystallizing theβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid is characterized by applying >=5% supersaturation degree to the solubility of theβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid and then depositing the crystal of theβ-alanine- N,N-diacetic acid from an aqueous solution containing theβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid. Theβ-alanine-N,N-diacetic acid having >=99% purity is obtained from the method for the crystallization.
