PURPOSE: A method of constructing an OSD of television and a remote control performing an operation corresponding to the method are provided to display a channel frequently used, program information, EPG screen and other functions at the moment when the information and functions are needed. CONSTITUTION: In a method of constructing an OSD of a television set, a channel banner screen is displayed on a portion at the left of the upper part of a television screen for a predetermined period of time and then disappear(S11). A program information banner screen is arranged at the lower part of the television screen horizontally long(S13). A time line program guide screen occupies the entire screen and page scroll by channels and time can be made using color buttons. When CAT button is pushed, a user can see channel information by categories. The contents of an OSD are constructed of texts to establish clear contents to be transmitted. |
