摘要 PURPOSE: A vacuum interrupter is provided to enhance reliability by reducing stress generated at a flange for fixing a center shield to an insulating tube during blazing cooling. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum interrupter comprises an insulating tube(11), a movable electrode(12) and a fixed electrode(13), contact points(14,15), a center shield(30), and a flange(40). The insulating tube(11) keeps vacuum state inside and forms the side of the vacuum interrupter. The movable electrode(12) and the fixed electrode(13) are allocated inside the insulating tube(11). Each of the contact points(14,15) is formed at one end of each electrode. The center shield(30) is formed between the insulating tube(11) and the electrodes(12,13) and spaced from the contact points(14,15) for surrounding the contact points(14,15). The flange(40) fixes the center shield(30) to the insulating tube(11). The center shield(11) includes 2 stages(31,32) having different outer diameters. The first stage(31) is spaced from the contact points(14,15). The second stage(32) has its outer diameter smaller than the first stage(31) and is fixed to the insulating tube(11) by the flange(40).
