PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose a timer function of a microcomputer 1 in an electronic electronic control system for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A pulse signal transmitting source 5 to transmit a specified cycle pulse signal to an outside monitoring circuit 2 is provided on an microcomputer 1 and the pulse signal is input to the microcomputer 1. A cycle of the pulse signal is measured by a timer function diagnosis means means 6 on the side of the microcomputer 1, and when the measured cycle comes to be out of a specified range, it is diagnosed as abnormality of the timer function. Thereafter, when it is judged as abnormality of the timer function, output of an engine is restricted by forcibly stopping driving control of an electric control throttle valve 4. |
