PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the visibility of display information by improving the uniformity of brightness of a light-emitting surface, with respect to a side light- type backlight apparatus using a light emitting diode(LED). SOLUTION: The LED 13 of the back light source provided on the lateral side of the a liquid crystal display(LCD) module 15 and a light guide plate 16 to guide the light of the LED 13 to the LCD module 15 are provided as a backlight display mechanism of the LCD module 15. A U-shaped wall 27 which covers part of the LED 13 is provided at the intermediate position between the LED 13 and the light guide plate 16 so that a light quantity reflected on a bottom surface part near the LED 13 of the light guide plate 16 is reduced. As a LED 13, LEDs of three colors of red, green, and blue are used. In the backlight mechanism, a red LED which is prone to be visually recognized dark is arranged at the center. |
