PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system using only one filter since exhaust emission control and regeneration of the filter are performed concurrently and having low manufacturing and running costs since no heating device is needed for regenerating the filter. SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control system, the filter carrying an oxidation catalyst is installed in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine. It is characterized by that it is provided with a dripping nozzle or an injection injector feeding hydrocarbonic liquid to an exhaust gas inflow side of the filter.
