PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a solenoid valve used for opening and closing a refrigerant passage of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: In this solenoid valve, an inlet side pipe 20 and an outlet side pipe 30 of a refrigerant are connected to a brass body. The pipes are made of a copper alloy. A plunger is inserted into a stainless steel cylinder member 40 connected to a valve body 10 to operate a valve element. An electromagnetic coil member is installed outside the cylinder member 40. A joining part of the valve body 10 and the cylinder member 40, and the inlet side pipe 20 and the outlet side pipe 30 is blazed in a furnace, and is fixed by blazing parts W2, W3 and W4. Electric nickel plating is applied to the cylinder member 40.
