PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate capable of sufficiently suppressing production of a diester in reaction and/or distillation. SOLUTION: This method manufacturing a hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate by a reaction of a (meth)acrylic acid and an alkylene oxide in the presence of a catalyst, (1) the reaction of the (meth)acrylic acid and the alkylene oxide or (2) distillation of the hydroxyalkyl(meth) acrylate is carried out in the presence of a liquid having a dielectric constant >=20 at 25 deg.C.
