PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device for joy stick type swivel which is very satisfactory in operability and makes it possible to freely and easily change the direction of a head. SOLUTION: Multiple balls 3a to 3g are fixed to a core wire 300, and plate- type spacers 4a to 4h are provided across the balls 3a to 3g and also are surrounded with a flexible covering body 8. Wires 5a and 5b penetrate the plate type spacers 4a to 4h and each have one end locked to the plate-type spacer 4a.
