PURPOSE: An oil/water separator of water discharge using solenoid valve does not require special checkup and maintenance because water drainage is automatically carried out. CONSTITUTION: As diesel fuel containing moisture is introduced into an oil/water separator(4), water sink the bottom part of the oil/water separator. When water reach a fixed level, water sensor(1) is operated, and its signal is applied to relay(2). By the signal applied via relay, a solenoid valve(3) connected to relay via electric wire(6) is operated so that electronic discharge valve(5) is opened to drain water collected in the oil/water separator.
