PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of parts constituting a locking mechanism in the irreducible minimum of a demand as much as possible, and to prevent looseness in the tensile direction of a sliding door particularly in the case of main locking by a simple mechanism and a rational means. SOLUTION: In the locking mechanism of a sliding-door lock installed to the sliding door 1 while being opposed to a backing plate 3 for a strike Y, the front end section 24 of a trigger piece 20 is rotated and moved forward through power conversion mechanisms 17 and 21 and brought to a completely engaged state with the strike Y when a forwarding and retracting member 11 collides with the backing plate 3 for the strike Y and is retracted in the case of door closing, and an engaging pawl piece 40 for preventing looseness being axially supported to a lock case 4 in this case and having a pawl section 44 is engaged with continuous engaging teeth 27 formed at the rear end section of the trigger piece 20 by the movement of a sliding operating piece 30 interiorly finished to the lock case 4 vertically movably in the locking mechanism of the sliding lock.
