PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start up the engine part of an image forming device in advance so that printing operation can be started simultaneously with finishing image development, and to restrain the temperature rise of a pressure roller so as to prevent the slip of recording material and high-temperature offset from occurring in a fixing device. SOLUTION: Image information is image-developed by a video controller and a toner image formed on recording material based on the image information image-developed is fixed by a heating film type fixing device. The video controller transmits a signal for starting up the heater for heating of the fixing device to the engine controller of the image forming device before finishing the image development, and a control part controls so that the heater for heating is made to stand by at temperature lower than target fixing temperature until finishing the image development and is heated again to the target fixing temperature after finishing the image development.
