PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cheap wiper base fabric having excellent liquid absorbing tendency and wiping effect. SOLUTION: This wiper base fabric is obtained by laminating pulp sheet(s) and melt-down nonwoven fabric(s) with each other in two or more layers followed by thermobonding of the resultant laminate with a heat embossing roll.
