PURPOSE: An interface device for a multiplex mode is provided to conveniently operate such various computer applications as an Internet browsers, graphics, CAD(Computer-Aided Design), and games by a single device. CONSTITUTION: The interface device for a multiplex mode comprises a pointer control unit(110), a mode selecting switch(120), a scroll control unit(130), a function button unit(140), and an interface driving circuit(150). The pointer control unit outputs position codes of an X axis and a Y axis with response to the rotation of a track ball manipulated a user. The mode selecting switch outputs a predetermined mode selecting signal corresponding to the manipulation by the user. With the mode selecting switch, a general mode, an Internet mode, a graphic mode, a CAD mode, and a game mode are selected. The scroll control unit outputs a screen scroll signal. The function button unit consists of many functional buttons outputting corresponding functional button codes. |
