PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and inexpensive pleat-like noise separation-type silencer of low pressure loss, and the low noise-type equipment, capable of uniformly silencing from arbitrary low frequency band of 63 Hz or less to high frequency band of 8 kHz in a high level by one silencer, being used from the general air current to the clean air and the moist air, and being widely applied from the atmospheric air current to the small air current. SOLUTION: In this sound absorbing material-type pleat-like noise separation-type silencer, the air current 8 is discharged from an air current passage 4 to a discharge port 3, and the noise 9 is repreatedly collided and reflected by surfaces of a number of noise collision boards to be separated from the air current, and silenced by compositely and multiply activating four kinds of silencing principles, that is, the collisional damping silencing, the vibrational damping silencing, the phase difference damping silencing and the distance damping silencing, and further activating the silencing principle of the sound absorbing damping silencing using both of a non-absorbing material-type pleat-like noise separation-type silencer and a sound absorbing material in a pleat-like space 10 formed in a depth of more than 1/4 wavelength of the low frequency band by the noise collision boards 7. The low noise equipment is formed by integrating these silencers with the equipment as a noise generating source, or comprises these silencers inside thereof. |
