PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an optical box in which respective optical elements are arranged having high rigidity and vibration resistance, to decrease the number of components, and to enable easy adaptation to variation in optical path length. SOLUTION: The optical box 3 is molded integrally of resin in a box shape, having a flat bottom surface 3a, and on the bottom surface 3a, a support base 20 which is a separate tower-shaped body, made of a material having a less coefficient of thermal expansion has its base surface 20a fixed by a leg part 21 in parallel with the bottom surface 3a. The support base 20 is provided integrally with receiving parts 17 and 17, and 18 and 18 of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd mirrors 10, 11, and 13, positioning reference parts which position and press an fθlens 9 and a long-sized lens 12 are provided on the top and rear surfaces of the base surface 20a, and the passage of beam light is formed below the base surface 20a.
