PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable image recording material having improved preservability and coatability before image formation. SOLUTION: In the heat developable image recording material with an image forming layer containing at least one non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a silver ion reducing agent and a binder on the base, the binder is a polymer having repeating units of formula (1) (where R11 is H, an alkyl, halogen or -CH2COOM1; L11 is -CONH-, -NHCO-, -COO-, -OCO-, -CO- or -O-; and J11 is a linking group such as an alkylene, arylene or aralkylene) and the content of the repeating units of the formula (1) in the polymer is 0.1-50 mass%.
