PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy adjusting method and an adjusting tool for a car weighing device. SOLUTION: An elevator system is provided with a car held through a buffer means to a car holding frame body elevated being guided by a guide rail disposed in an elevator shaft while being towed by a main cable, and the car weighing device for detecting total load weight in the car by the settlement of the car against the buffer means. In the elevator system, the method for adjusting the car weighing device for an elevator is characterized by stopping the elevation of the car holding frame and towing the car downward to adjust the car weighing device. The adjusting tool or towing the car downward is also provided.
