PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object floating device capable of increasing a holding force for holding an object at a predetermined position when floating the object using a plurality of oscillating bodies. SOLUTION: This object floating device 1 comprises oscillators 2a to 2d and 3 formed in a rectangular plate shape. Four oscillators 2a to 2d are arranged at positions corresponding to four corners of the rectangular plate shape body 4. Each of the oscillators 2a to 2d is connected to an oscillator 6a for providing an oscillation for oscillating an oscillating surface in addition to a vertical oscillation. The oscillator 3 is connected to the oscillator 6b for applying only vertical oscillation. The oscillator 6a comprises a pair of ring-like piezo elements 7a and 7b for generating the vertical oscillation and a set of four pairs of quarter circular arc piezo elements. Voltage with a predetermined frequency is applied from a generator 15 to the piezo elements 7a and 7b, and from a generator 16 to the piezo elements. The voltage is sequentially applied by a predetermined time to the set of four pairs of the quarter circular arc piezo elements through a changeover switch 19.
