摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine drive type heat pump which can enhance coefficient of performance at heating operation, by lessening the specific volume of a refrigerant at suction part of a compressor, and reducing the quantity of fuel consumed in an engine to drive the compressor. SOLUTION: Since this heat pump lessens the pressure loss of a refrigerant in an evaporation stroke at heating operation, and suppresses the pressure drop of the refrigerant in the evaporation stroke at heating operation, and lessens the specific volume of the refrigerant at the suction part of the compressor 2, as compared with the one of conventional art where an auxiliary heat exchanger 4 and an outdoor heat exchanger 10 are connected in series, by connecting the auxiliary heat exchanger 4 and the outdoor heat exchanger 10 in series, it needs to lower the number of revolutions of the compressor 2 so as to secure the quantity of a circulating refrigerant to maintain a certain heating capacity, and thereby the quantity of fuel consumed in the engine to drive the compressor 2 decreases.
