<p>A subsea intervention method involves lowering assemblies of intervention equipment into the sea. Underwater marine units such as remotely controlled vehicles and submarines may be employed to connect the assemblies to each other and the wellhead equipment. The equipment includes a carrier line spool (41, fig 3) such as a coiled tubing (44, fig 3), wireline or slickline spool and equipment (316, fig 9) to inject carrier line from the carrier line spool (314, fig 9) into the well (22, fig 3). The carrier line spool may be positioned underwater (fig 3) or above the subsea wellhead equipment (fig 9) or on a sea vessel (fig 7). A carousel system (306, fig 9) having multiple chambers containing different tools may be used to switch tools.</p> |
