PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device in which a picture being written in a display frame memory is not displayed. SOLUTION: A display control part 104 writes a newly decoded picture data in a present non-display area in a decoded picture data storage part 102, and on the other hand, when writing of the following decoded picture data has already been completed during a vertical blanking period, the device reads the decoded picture data of the latest order of writing, and when writing of the following decoded picture data has not been completed yet during a vertical blanking period, the device reads the decoded picture data which have been displayed before the vertical blanking period, and displays them on a picture display part 103. |
