PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow long-time supply of electric power from a battery so as to remove restriction of installation position. SOLUTION: The carbon monoxide detector is provided with a carbon monoxide detection part 7 heated to a fixed temperature for detecting carbon monoxide, a heater 5 arranged in the vicinity of the carbon monoxide detection part 7, a relay controlling means 11 controlling the current conduction to the heater 5, and a temperature detecting means 9 for the heater 5. Temperature control is carried out by intermittently carrying a current to the heater 5. In this way, carbon monoxide can be detected with high precision while the power consumption can be lowered. |
