SMALL HINGE DEVICE AND CELLPHONE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pushbutton type small hinge device having a simple structure with an opening element openable with the push of a push button and resettable even if closed forward just before assuming a fully closed condition, and a cellphone using two such hinge devices. SOLUTION: The small hinge device comprises a shaft 1 with a flange portion having a detent; a detent-equipped fixed cam 6 rotatably locked to one end of the shaft; a sliding cam 5 mounted in such a manner as to be capable of axially sliding as its rotation is restrained by the shaft; cam mechanisms provided on the opposite surfaces of the sliding cam and the fixed cam; an elastic means 10 resiliently provided for pressing the sliding cam against the fixed cam; a slide key 11 axially slidably locked to the fixed cam or the shaft in such a manner as to be rotatable together with the fixed cam so as to act on the sliding cam; and another elastic means 13 resiliently provided between the slide key and the fixed cam.
