PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optical demultiplexer having a constant wavelength dispersion value. SOLUTION: The signal light of a wavelengthλ1 is inputted into the port A of an optical circulator 10, and the signal light of a wavelengthλ2 is inputted into the port A of an optical circulator 12. The port B of the optical circulator 10 is connected to the port X0 of an interleave type optical filter 14, and the port B of the optical circulator 12 is connected to the port X1 of an optical filter 14. The port Y0 of the optical filter 14 is connected to the port Y1 of the optical filter 14 through an optical isolator 16. An optical isolator 16 permits the propagation of a light beam from the port Y0 to the port Y1 of the optical filter 14, and blocks the propagation of a light beam from the port Y1 to the port 0. An optical coupler 18 multiplexes light beams inputted into the input ports X0 and X1 from the port C of the optical circulators 10 and 12, and outputs them from the output port Y0. The optical filter 14 transmits the wavelengthλ1 by straight directional propagation between the ports X0 and Y0 and between the ports X1 and Y1, and transmits the wavelengthλ2 by the cross directional propagation between the ports X0 and Y1 and between the ports X1 and Y0. |
