PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring that is improved to prevent a surging phenomenon of a spring body and thus prevent breakage of a hook portion. SOLUTION: The coil spring 15 has hook portions 15b at both ends of a spring body 15a, and establishes an elastic action of the spring body 15a with the hook portions 15b engaged with two points of elastic support to connect them. A shock absorbing material of elastic material is annexed to the spring body 15a along the length thereof. The shock absorbing material is a tubular body 16 of soft elastic material, and the tubular body 16 is fitted internally with the outer circumference in contact with the inner circumference of the spring body 15a, or another tubular body 18 is fitted externally with the inner circumference in contact with the outer circumference of the spring body 15a. The shock absorbing material is alternatively a columnar body 17 of soft elastic material, and the columnar body 17 is fitted internally with the outer circumference in contact with the inner circumference of the spring body 15a. The shock absorbing material prevents a surging phenomenon of the spring body 15a to prevent breakage of the hook portions 15b. |
