摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition having high heat resistance, a low birefringence, a small photoelasticity coefficient, high optical transparency and toughness, an optical material, their manufacturing methods and a liquid crystal display device obtained using the same. SOLUTION: The curable composition comprises an aliphatic organic compound having at least two carbon-carbon double bonds reactive with an SiH group in one molecule as a component (A), a compound bearing at least two SiH groups in one molecule as a component (B) and a hydrosilylation catalyst as a component (C). This curable composition are kneaded in advance, causing the carbon-carbon double bond reactive with an SiH group in the composition to react with a part or all of the SiH groups, thereby to be cured to give the optical material.
