PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device of an inexpensive and compact structure, capable of continuously putting distinguishing marks onto a core tube for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This marking device has a moving base 21A movable along a bed 24 in parallel with a rotating shaft 3, and a moving support 21B mounted on the moving base 21A and reciprocated along the directions m, n perpendicular to the moving direction of the moving base 21A by a fluid pressure cylinder 26, first through third movable members 29A-29C are radially mounted on a supporting plate 28 fixed to an upper edge of the moving support 21B, writing pens 22 formed by oil ball-point pen cores are demountably mounted on each of the movable members 29A-29C, and the writing pen 22 is abutted on an outer peripheral face of the core tube 10 to put the linear distinguishing marks.
