PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for waste activated carbon which is capable of effectively utilizing the waste activated carbon as a resource by taking the components and characteristics as well as adsorptive materials, or the like, of the waste activated carbon into consideration. SOLUTION: The waste activated carbon is generated in the form that various adsorptive materials are adsorbed on activated carbon. The waste activated carbon is effectively utilized as a raw material to be sintered in iron works by noticing the fact that >=80% of the waste activated carbon in the market are free of problems in the adsorptive materials in iron and steel making and conversely the waste activated carbon may be effectively utilized as the resource. The SiO2, CaO and Al2O3 in the waste activated carbon mixed with the raw material to be sintered are effectively utilized as blast furnace slag. The C in the waste activated carbon and (C and H) in adsorptive materials are made into fuel and reducing agents and are effectively utilized as a substitute for powder coke.
