The integrated arc suppression mechanism has fixed and moving contacts (14,15) with a locking switch actioned by an overload thermal switch. There is a magnetic suppression circuit adapting the length of each electrical arc produced by the fixed and moving contacts by creating a field perpendicular to the container wide sides. The plasma arc created is confined to inside the electrical apparatus using the field.
