PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-diagnosis system and method therefor capable of executing self-diagnosis on failure state of a refrigerator and automatically transmitting failure-related information to a service center through the internet. SOLUTION: The system comprises a temperature sensing part 57 for sensing temperature in the refrigerator by using a sensor and outputting a sensing signal; a microcomputer 55 for outputting a control signal on the basis of the sensing signal, sensing a failure of a part in the refrigerator when the failure has occurred, and outputting a coded signal by coding information related to the failure; a communication unit 56 for having the coded information related to the failure inputted and transmitting the same; a digital controller unit 58 for converting the coded information related to the failure transmitted from the communication unit 56 into character information; and an automatic mail sending unit 59 for automatically sending the character information to a specified electronic mail address of a service center or a service person by electronic mailing. |
