<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of striped irregularities or make the striped irregularities inconspicuous and to improve a quality of a display image. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal panel, the width Wy of a counter electrode 312 is specified to be not wider than the distance Wab between data lines 212a and 212b among U shaped wiring patterns 502 formed on the peripheral part of an opposite pixel electrode 501. An element substrate and a counter substrate are disposed opposite to each other so that the counter electrode 312 is not superposed on the data lines 212a and 212b, or so that the counter electrode 312 is not superposed on only the data line 212b which is positioned on the down stream side of a rubbing treatment part applied on an alignment layer of the element substrate side.</p> |
