PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement velocity correcting method capable of correcting the acceleration in a deformed portion. SOLUTION: This displacement velocity correcting method is has a process detecting the acceleration of a door 12 deforming when a vehicle 10 is crashed, a process detecting the acceleration of a sill 16 not deforming even when the vehicle is crashed, a process calculating the displacement velocity of the door 12 based on the acceleration of the door 12, a process calculating the displacement velocity of the sill 16 based on the acceleration of the sill 16, and a process correcting the displacement of the door 12 based on the displacement velocity of the door 12 and the displacement velocity of the sill 16.
