PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the arrangement of a piece of music without editing any performance data. SOLUTION: First automatic performance data constituted of plural parts and second automatic performance data constituted of at least one part are respectively read from a storage means so that a piece of music can be played. At the time of playing a piece of music based on the second automatic performance data, performance related with at least one part of the first automatic performance data is muted by a muting means. The information on the muted part is included in the first automatic performance data, and the part to be muted is automatically set based on the information read with the first automatic performance data. Also, whether the pattern information included in the read automatic performance data should be used as it is or pattern information obtained by converting the pattern information should be used is switched, and automatic accompaniment is performed in a performance style corresponding to the pattern information. |
