PURPOSE: An air-fuel ratio difference of an engine is compensated to deal with exhaust gas regulation. CONSTITUTION: A system and method for compensating air-fuel ratio difference comprises an input air-fuel ratio, cooling water temperature, an engine revolution, an engine load, an electronic control unit(ECU) that outputs a lambda control element(FR), a lambda control element mean value(FRM), a fuel amount learned value(FRA), and a fuel amount of each cylinder. The system for compensating air-fuel ratio difference outputs cylinder grouping that inputs grouped signal to the electronic control unit, a fuel amount learned value(FRA1) of high speed and high load range of exhaust gas, and a fuel amount learned value(FRA2) of low speed and low load range of exhaust gas.
