PURPOSE: A vegetation method on bank protection works is provided to preserve a protective layer for the surface of a levee from sweeping away by flowing water. CONSTITUTION: The vegetation method on bank protection works comprises the steps of: collecting plants to seed by the roots and cutting the collected plants into 10-50 centimeters in depth; digging out a seedling hollow, which is 5-35 centimeters in depth, 5-35 centimeters in width and 10-70 centimeters in length, to have an interval of 10-100 centimeters with horizontally adjacent seedling hollows and an interval of 10-70 centimeters with vertically adjacent seedling hollows on soil of inclines(11,12) of a levee(10); putting the collected seedlings in the seedling hollow and covering with soil; installing a protective net made with natural fiber on the seeded inclines(11,12); and fixing the preventive net by driving in a fixed post made with natural timber at a distance of 30-200 centimeters from an adjacent fixed post.
