PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a substance that highly contains αG-AA (α-glucopyranosyl L-ascorbic acid) of high quality in high yield with excellent operationality and low production costs. SOLUTION: A solution containing αG-AA, L-ascorbic acid and saccharides as a starting solution is allowed to contact with an anionic ion-exchanging resin filled in a column whereby the αG-AA and L-ascorbic acid are allowed to be adsorbed in the anionic ion-exchanging resin. The anionic ion-exchanging resin is washed with water to remove the saccharides, then an aqueous solution of <0.5 N acid and/or their salts are fed to the column as an eluent to separate into the αG-AA high content fraction and the L-ascorbic acid high content fraction and this αG-AA high content fraction is collected. |
