PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton electroconductive polymer composition excellent in proton eleetroconductivity and durability and inexpensively producible. SOLUTION: The proton electroconductive polymer composition comprises a sulfonated polymer having a sulfonic group density of at least 2 mg equivalent/g, and a polymer matrix, Preferably, the sulfonated polymer is one obtained by sulfonating a polymer of an aromatic compound having an unsaturated bond. A solid electrolyte film for a fuel cell can be composed of this proton electroconductive polymer composition. This solid electyolyte film has proton electroconductivity excellent enough to give a fuel cell formed thereof having high output. |
