PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent disproportion of load between lasers by performing control so that integrated light emitting time of each light source is uniform in an image forming device with a multi-beam system. SOLUTION: In an image section (a), an image on the first line is formed with the laser A for a first scan, and an image on the second line is formed with the laser B for the first scan. In such a manner, the images on the odd- number lines are formed with the laser A and the images on the even-number lines are formed with the laser B. Then, in an image section (b), an image on the first line is formed with the laser B for a first scan, an image on the second line is formed with the laser A for a second scan, an image on the third line is formed with the laser B for the second scan. In such a manner, the images on the odd-number lines are formed with the laser B and the images on the even-number lines are formed with the laser A. |
