PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sensor device capable of effectively preventing damage to an optical sensor due to heat. SOLUTION: The optical sensor device is constituted of a sensor unit 6 to irradiate an object to be measured with light and to receive reflected light from the object to be measured, a calibrating plate 7 with a predetermined light reflectance, and a reciprocation driving mechanism to drive the sensor unit 6 to reciprocate between a measurement mode position opposite to the object to be measured and a calibration mode position opposite to the calibrating plate 7. Anomalies in the sensor unit 6 are determined on the basis of the output signals of the sensor unit 6 in the calibration mode position.
